Three of Air, reversed; Eight of Earth; the Hermit, reversed
As the calendar year draws to a close, the Three of Air reappears, this time in a reversed position. This is a card of loss and separation; in its reversed position, it speaks to the stresses and emotional distress caused by loss. The Eight of Earth can represent personal effort, craftsmanship, or learning a new skill. The Hermit, a card of wisdom, is also reversed. In this position, it can either indicate rushing into things without sufficient knowledge, or delaying excessively while you mull things over.
The New Year is going to bring changes, whether we feel we’re ready for them or not. Don’t let your stress overwhelm you. Focus on the effort and hard work you are putting into your life. Strike a balance between running headlong into change thoughtlessly, and being afraid to put changes into motion.
