Care Reading from Week of October 12, 2020

Seven of Cups, the Lovers, Eight of Pentacles

The Seven of Cups shows a wizard gesturing at seven goblets filled with strange and fantastical things; the meaning of this card is tied to daydreams, fantasies, and wishful thinking. The Lovers relates in a general sense to romantic relationships; here, next to the Seven of Cups, it may also represent blind optimism and a failure to consider the consequences of our actions. The Eight of Pentacles, which shows a young person diligently at work, represents hard work and the willingness and ability to learn new things quickly. Don’t expect anything to be handed to you, especially in relationships. Don’t expect a “happy ever-after,” in any aspect of your life, unless you are willing to put in the work.
