I’m afraid I wasn’t well enough last week to post a reading. Thank you, friends, for waiting to hear from me.
This week I tried a technique I’ve used before. I looked through the deck for a specific card (this week, the Star), and pulled it and the two cards to either side of it. Here’s what I got:
The Chariot, the Star, the Eight of Cups
The Chariot is a bit of a confusing card, as it can indicate both trouble and success. It can indicate a journey, either literal or metaphorical. It is a card of conflict, and it suggests the need to control one’s emotions. The Star, which I sought intentionally, represents “What You Want.” That’s going to be something different for all of us. The Eight of Cups, with its image of a traveler moving away from a stack of goblets, represents abandoning an undertaking or changing plans.
So we are all struggling to reach our goals, whatever those might be. Right now it probably feels hopeless, like we should just give up and walk away. Heaven knows we are tired. But instead of giving up, it may be that we just need to try a different approach, or focus on a different goal for a while.
Hang in there, friends, and if we get more snow this week, I hope it offers us a chance to rest and focus quietly on our inner lives. Love you, Angela
